The Iranian Ministry of Interior announced the closure of ballot boxes and the start of counting votes in the second round of the presidential elections. The Iranian Interior Ministry stated in a statement that: 'The closing of the polling stations in the second round of the presidential elections took place with the expiration of the legal deadline.' It added: "Voters present in the polling centers will be allowed to vote, and the vote counting process will begin inside the polling centers where there are no voters." The voting process began in the second round of the Iranian presidential elections at 8: am, Friday, and the two candidates, Masoud Pazeshkian and Saeed Jalili, are competing.
