President of the Republic Abdul Latif Rashid stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of preserving Iraq’s sovereignty, while pointing out that the decision of the Zionist enemy government to kill children, women and civilians is an insult to the international community.
Rashid said in a speech during his participation in the State Administration Coalition meeting held yesterday, that “Iraq’s sovereignty must be preserved, and serious work must be done to enhance security and stability in all its parts,” appreciating “the positions of the political blocs and parties supporting the Palestinian people and the peoples of the region in various media, political and humanitarian fields.”
He stressed that “the danger of aggression is present and ongoing, and the enemy government’s decision to kill children, women and civilians is an insult to the international community and the United Nations,” stressing “the need for unity of positions in these sensitive and dangerous circumstances that the region is going through
.”
He pointed out “the importance of decisions being unified and accepted by all political parties while working on the cohesion of the internal front,” noting “the need to coordinate with all political forces, even those outside the State Administration Coalition, in order to formulate a unified position to support the Palestinian cause in terms of security, politics, media and humanity.”
He stressed “the importance of coordination with countries that have clear positions in opposing aggression and supporting the Palestinian people in their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on all their national soil.”
He added that the State Administration Coalition meeting had discussed the ongoing repercussions resulting from the continued Zionist aggression on brotherly Lebanon.
During the meeting, the State Administration Coalition held the international community fully responsible for carrying out its humanitarian and moral duty to stop the brutal massacres, injustice and
violation of sovereignty.
The meeting also discussed the joint declaration between Iraq and the international coalition to fight ISIS, and completing the agreement to end the presence of this coalition on Iraqi soil by September of next year.
The coalition stressed “the importance of deciding on the appointment of the Speaker of the House of Representatives as soon as possible,” calling for “continuing the efforts it is making in this regard.”
