The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced today, Sunday, the martyrdom of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Economy, Abdul Fattah Al-Zari'i, and his mother in an Israeli bombing that directly targeted them. The office said in a statement: "With all meanings of pride, honor, and reward, the follow-up of government work in the Gaza Strip mourns to the masses of our great Palestinian people, our Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people of the world the martyr, Engineer Abdul Fattah Al-Zari'i, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Economy in the Gaza Strip." The statement added: "He ascended to the heavens after being directly targeted by Israeli occupation aircraft, as he and his honorable mother were martyred. In this regard, we mourn a government leader who had a career full of sacrifices and honorable positions, and was an example of loyalty and dedication in his work and service to the sons of our Palestinian people." The office continued: "Engineer Abdul Fattah Al- Zari'i was martyred, joining the martyrs of our great Palestinian people who were killed by the occupation. While we consider Al-Zari'i a martyr, we affirm that the rise of the leaders of government work will not deter us from performing our national duty towards our Palestinian people, and continuing our moral and professional role to serve them and support their steadfastness and perseverance in the face of this brutal aggression.
