Jerusalem: Despite the strong military restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation forces to limit entry to Jerusalem, worshipers started to arrive early in the morning for Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to Jordan News Agency, Israeli forces, including union members, attempted to dismantle the iron barricades, the council, and the pillars during the Friday sermon, further tightening control around the entrances to Jerusalem. This move was seen as an effort to restrict access and maintain order during the prayer gathering.
Additionally, many young males were prohibited from entering the mosque. They were stopped, inspected, and had their identity cards verified, which led to delays and prevented some from participating in the prayer. This practice has been a point of contention, as it limits the freedom of worship for many individuals seeking to enter the mosque.
