Tkiyet Um Ali Partners with Ministry of Education to Launch School Feeding Program for Underprivileged Students

Amman: Tkiyet Um Ali has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education to initiate a school feeding program designed to provide daily nutritious meals to underprivileged students in public schools. This initiative aims to contribute to improved health outcomes and enhance learning capacity among students.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement marks the beginning of the program's first phase, targeting schools in the Balqa, Jerash, and Karak governorates. Under this initiative, students will receive a daily meal comprising 100 percent natural date bars that are free from added sugar and preservatives. The bars are rich in fiber and natural energy, supporting students' concentration during the school day.

The program will directly benefit approximately 4,000 students through on-site meal distribution in schools. Additionally, nearly 20,000 students will receive support through monthly food parcels. This integrated approach is designed to expand the program's reach and strengthen food security among school-age children.

Tkiyet Um Ali stated that the date bars are produced by beneficiaries of Dar Abu Abdullah's economic empowerment programs, utilizing locally sourced natural ingredients. This model connects school nutrition with sustainable economic empowerment, enhancing the social and developmental impact of the initiative.

Both parties emphasized the significance of institutional cooperation in creating a healthy educational environment and achieving sustainable outcomes. They noted that future phases of the program would expand to additional governorates, aligning with national efforts to improve food security and support the education sector.
