The Environment Ministry gives top priority to confronting climate change and promoting environmental investments, said Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad. Delivering a speech before the parliamentary committee tasked with studying the new government's work program, Fouad said that the ministry has implemented several programs, projects and activities in the various environmental spheres, a matter that resulted in reducing pollution rates and expanding the establishment of environmental monitoring networks nationwide. The ministry has also worked to provide the necessary financial and technical support to implement programs and environmental sanitation plans to get rid of illegal industrial waste on water bodies, she added.
