Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy discussed on Monday 26/8/2024 with Singaporean Ambassador to Egypt Dominic Goh, and his accompanying delegation, ways of boosting cooperation between Egypt and Singapore in the tourism domain. The minister expressed appreciation of distinguished relations between the two countries and affirmed keenness on boosting mechanisms of co-operation and coordination. The meeting tackled ways of boosting the inbound tourism movement from Singapore to Egypt to enjoy cultural and coastal tourism. It also discussed the International Travel and Tourism Fair and Exhibition (ITB) that will take place in Singapore in October. The meeting tackled the tourism investment opportunities in Egypt, especially hotels. The Singaporean ambassador expressed interest of a number of Singaporean investors in tourism and development investment in Egypt to increase the number of hotel rooms.
