The Director General of the General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services at the Ministry of Trade, Mustafa Al-Ani, met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Baghdad, Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, and during the meeting, the size of Palestinian participation in the 48th session of the Baghdad International Fair was discussed. A statement by the media office of the Ministry of Trade stated: "Al-Ani and Al-Ruwaidi discussed the Palestinian government's desire to enter the Iraqi market by participating in the (48) session of the Baghdad International Fair." The statement added: "Al-Ani welcomed Palestine's participation in the next session, and called for opening up horizons of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, since the Iraqi government supports the Palestinian position and is in solidarity with the Palestinian people." It pointed out that the Exhibitions Company, in light of the government's supportive approach to the Palestinian people and in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Tr ade, Athir Dawood, granted the State of Palestine a free pavilion with an area of 120 square meters during the next session of the Baghdad International Fair.
