Transport Minister and AIG CEO Discuss Expansion Plans for Queen Alia International Airport

Amman: Minister of Transport, Wissam Tahtamouni, on Wednesday engaged in discussions with Airport International Group (AIG) CEO, Nicolas Devillier, regarding the latest advancements and expansion strategies for Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA).

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on the airport's forthcoming expansion plan, devised to accommodate the increase in passenger numbers. The discussions also covered solar energy initiatives currently being undertaken by the group to improve energy efficiency and promote environmental sustainability.

In a statement from the Ministry of Transport, Tahtamouni underscored the need for continuous provision of quality services to passengers, especially in light of the growth in air traffic. The minister emphasized the importance of ensuring the airport's infrastructure and logistical services are prepared to handle the rising number of travelers.

Further, Tahtamouni reiterated the ministry's commitment to supporting QAIA's development efforts, aiming to maintain its role as an essential facility within both regional and international air transport networks.
