Amman: Minister of Transport Wissam Tahtamouni and Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Moufida Zribi engaged in discussions about enhancing cooperation between Jordan and Tunisia in the transport sector. The talks focused on strengthening the already established relations between the two countries, with a particular emphasis on transport as a crucial element in economic development and the movement of people and goods.

According to Jordan News Agency, the minister highlighted the historical and strong ties between Jordan and Tunisia, emphasizing Jordan's commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors, especially in transport. The Tunisian ambassador expressed appreciation for the strong economic ties and reiterated Tunisia's interest in expanding collaboration in the transport sector.

The meeting covered potential areas of cooperation, including land, sea, air, and rail transport. Both parties discussed the possibility of leveraging Tunisia's expertise in rail transport and the exchange of meteorological technical knowledge. They agreed on the importance of ongoing coordination between the relevant authorities in both countries and acknowledged the existing agreements that need to be activated to enhance cooperation.

Both nations expressed a shared commitment to continue working closely to explore and implement initiatives that would benefit their respective transport sectors and further strengthen bilateral relations.
