Amman: Minister of Transport Nidal Qatamin on Wednesday chaired a meeting with stakeholders on the Amman Civil Airport/Marka file to review licensing procedures. They assessed civil aviation security requirements, facility upgrades, passenger lounge services, and safety and inspection systems in line with international standards.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting was attended by Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Haitham Misto, representatives of the Jordan Airports Company (JAC), and other relevant authorities. Qatamin emphasized the need to expedite preparations to license and operate the airport, highlighting its importance in enhancing the efficiency of the air transport system and strengthening Jordan's regional status.
He stated that the Ministry is coordinating with CARC, JAC, and all partners to ensure the airport meets technical and security requirements according to the highest global standards, aiming to serve the public interest and improve passenger services.
