The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) took part in the Global Standards Symposium and the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly. The events were organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and hosted by India's Ministry of Communications from October 13 to 24. In a statement released today, the TRC highlighted the significance of its participation, which focuses on strengthening its role through staying informed on latest technological advancements and addressing future challenges and opportunities in such areas as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and fifth-generation networks (5G).
