Geneva: Trkiye's health minister emphasized the importance of global partnerships in health during the World Health Assembly, introducing the country's 'Producing Health Model' as an innovative framework for collaboration and progress.
According to Anadolu Agency, Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu highlighted Trkiye's commitment to the concept of 'One World for Health,' inviting global healthcare leaders to engage in genuine collaborations rooted in the 'Producing Health Model.' Memisoglu outlined significant transformations in Trkiye's health system over the past 25 years, emphasizing the provision of comprehensive and accessible health services free of charge.
Trkiye's health system is underpinned by robust infrastructure, skilled professionals, and effective practices, which were pivotal during the COVID-19 pandemic. The minister announced the launch of the Century of Healthy Trkiye program, which focuses on preventive medicine and the promotion of health-related technology production.
Memisoglu explained that Trkiye is constructing a comprehensive health ecosystem through the Health Institute of Trkiye, which spans research, development, and product innovation. This initiative aims to enhance both national and global health capabilities.
Concluding his address, Memisoglu made a humanitarian appeal, drawing attention to the plight of people in Gaza and underscoring the need for global compassion and solidarity.
