Ankara:Trkiye has appointed Muhsin Atci as the new chairman of the Capital Markets Board (CMB), according to an announcement in the Official Gazette on Saturday.
According to Anadolu Agency – English, Atci previously served as the head of the Tax Inspection Board and brings a 23-year career in tax enforcement to his new role. His experience includes overseeing audits of major companies in Trkiye, and he holds a master's degree in development policy from Duke University in the US.
The government also named Ersin Basar Ekmekci as the deputy chairman. Ekmekci was formerly the deputy president of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board. He possesses a graduate degree in financial economics from Boston University in the US.
Additionally, Yasemin Girici was appointed as a board member of the CMB. Girici has experience serving on the board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, representing multiple countries including Trkiye. She holds a master's degree in economics from Rutgers University in the US.
