Ankara: Trkiye is "closely" following developments in both Yemen and Somalia, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed the Saudi crown prince during a phone call, emphasizing the importance of stability and the protection of both countries' territorial integrity.
According to Anadolu Agency, during the call, Erdogan and Mohammed bin Salman discussed bilateral relations and regional and global issues, as reported by the Turkish Communications Directorate. Erdogan expressed Trkiye's readiness to contribute to efforts aimed at reconciling parties in conflict in Yemen.
Erdogan also stated that Ankara is looking to enhance cooperation between Trkiye and Saudi Arabia by taking further steps in the coming days. He highlighted the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza with the onset of winter, noting that Trkiye continues to work towards a lasting ceasefire and reconstruction in the war-torn enclave.
