Ankara: Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat announced that Trkiye and Iraq are determined to take new steps to increase their bilateral trade volume to $30 billion and boost mutual investments. Omer Bolat made these remarks during the visit of Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, who is in Ankara as an official guest of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to Anadolu Agency, Omer Bolat expressed his belief that the meetings chaired by President Erdogan and Prime Minister al-Sudani would significantly advance Trkiye-Iraq relations, which have been progressing in political, economic, security, and commercial areas in recent years. Bolat highlighted plans to strengthen ties and trade with Iraq through the Development Road project and new border gates.
Additionally, Bolat extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister al-Sudani and expressed his hopes that the visit would contribute positively to the relationship between the two nations.
