Trkiye’s Foreign Minister Participates in Gaza Peace Talks with US, Egyptian, and Qatari Officials

Miami: The US, Trkiye, Egypt, and Qatar convened in Miami to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza. The meeting saw participation from notable officials, including Trkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who engaged in discussions regarding the peace efforts in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oncu Keceli shared details of the meeting on US social media platform X. The talks focused on assessing the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza peace plan and deliberated on advancing to the second phase.

Keceli noted that although there were violations, the ceasefire achieved in the first phase has been maintained, hostages have been released, and conflicts have significantly subsided. Discussions for the second phase emphasized arrangements for governance by the Gazans and evaluated steps related to the Peace Council and the International Stabilization Force as outlined in the peace plan.

In addition to the Gaza discussions, Fidan held meetings with officials in Miami to explore diplomatic solutions for ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
