The Tunisian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 5 new COVID-19 deaths and 489 new infections were registered during the last 24 hours.
A statement by the Ministry said that the new fatalities raised the death toll in the country to 24,868 since the pandemic struck in March 2020, while the total number of cases climbed to 706,804.
