Jeddah: The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, received a telephone call from Mr. Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. During the conversation, Mr. Fidan extended his congratulations to Mr. Ahmed on his recent election as Secretary General and wished him success in his new responsibilities. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Turkey for its support of the organization. He acknowledged Turkey's active role in the joint Islamic action process and emphasized his commitment to enhancing solidarity and cooperation among the OIC member states.
