Twitter informed its employees in an email Thursday night that it would begin the “difficult” process of downsizing on Friday after Elon Musk bought the site a week ago.
According to Twitter, the message said that all employees would receive the information by Friday morning, but it did not specify how many staff would lose their job.
According to the Washington Post, 50 per cent of about 7,500 employees would lose their job.
