Jerash: A collision between a medium-sized passenger bus and a truck on the Jerash-Ajloun road, near the Souf Triangle, resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 20 others. The tragic incident occurred when the vehicles collided under circumstances that are currently under investigation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that rescue and ambulance teams from the Jerash Civil Defence Department (CDD) responded promptly to the scene. The swift response aimed to mitigate the impact of the accident and ensure the injured received immediate attention.

CDD teams were responsible for evacuating the deceased and providing necessary medical aid to the injured individuals. The injured were subsequently transferred to several hospitals for further treatment. These facilities included Jerash Government Hospital, Princess Haya Military Hospital, Al-Iman Government Hospital, and Al-Safa Specialised Hospital, ensuring that victims received comprehensive care.

An official investigation has been initiated to determine the causes of the accident.
