The tech-heavy Nasdaq index lost 188 points, ending the day at 20,412. Meanwhile, the S and P 500 index fell by 49 points to settle at 6,230.
According to Jordan News Agency, in contrast, U.S. crude oil benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose by $1 to reach $68.01 per barrel.
