UJH to provide Advanced Trauma Life Support courses

-Director General of the University of Jordan Hospital (UJH), Dr. Nader Bsoul, and President of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in Jordan, Dr. Mahmoud Owdat, on Sunday signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU), aimed to accredit the hospital as a training center to hold the ACS-certified Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) workshops. Bsoul stressed the importance of enhancing and consolidating means of joint cooperation, especially in the field of developing doctors' health capabilities to deal with cases of injuries and trauma. Bsoul also stressed the hospital's "openness" to be part of any measures that would improve quality of human life. For his part, Owdat praised the UJH's "distinguished" level of training as an "outstanding" medical, educational and academic incubator that seeks to provide "pioneering" health services by qualifying workers in related fields. Furthermore, he called for making the hospital's training center as a main hub for training doctors and medical students in univ ersities on ATLS areas and developing a training plan for nurses in this field.
