UK Expresses Concern Over Israel’s Electricity Cutoff to Gaza

London: The United Kingdom expressed deep concern over Israel's decision to cut electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip and called for the immediate restoration of power.

According to Jordan News Agency, the British Prime Minister's official spokesperson, speaking to the Independent on Monday, stated, "Our position is clear: the provision of humanitarian aid should never be conditional on a ceasefire or used as a political tool."

When asked whether the Israeli decision constitutes a violation of international law, the spokesperson responded, "This is a matter for international courts, but halting the entry of essential goods and supplies into Gaza, including electricity, risks violating Israel's obligations under international humanitarian law."
