COVID-19 killed 37 people in the UK Tuesday, an increase from Monday’s nine, taking the death toll to 128,268, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said.

Some 28,770 people tested positive for the highly contagious respiratory disease, compared with 27,330 Monday, as the caseload nears five million, the DHSC added.
