West bank: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Monday that it documented 71 attacks by settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank. The office noted that these incidents occurred over a span of one week, from October 7 to 13.
According to Jordan News Agency, half of the reported attacks were linked to the ongoing olive harvesting season, which is a critical time for Palestinian farmers. The attacks affected Palestinians in 27 villages, disrupting their agricultural activities and livelihoods.
The reported incidents included a range of aggressive actions such as attacks on farmers, theft of crops and harvesting equipment, and deliberate damage to olive trees. These actions have not only caused physical injuries but also led to significant property damage, further exacerbating the tensions in the region.
