Amman: The University of Jordan and the Jordanian-American Business Council have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance academic and research collaboration and establish partnerships with U.S. universities, research centers, and institutions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement was signed by University President Nadhir Obeidat and Council Chair Tariq Hassan. It aims to support initiatives such as student, faculty, and researcher exchanges, joint scientific research projects, innovation endeavors, academic publications, conferences, and various training and employment opportunities for graduates.
The memorandum also focuses on attracting funding for joint initiatives, promoting entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and educational resource sharing. Obeidat highlighted that this agreement would expand cooperation with American academic institutions, enhance the exchange of expertise, and create new opportunities for students and faculty, aligning with the university's internationalization strategy.
Hassan emphasized that the Council would utilize its network of U.S. universities, research centers, funding organizations, and industry partners to bolster joint programs and projects with the University of Jordan.
