Gaza - Ma'an - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Monday that the number of its workers killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war has risen to 207. The announcement came in conjunction with World Humanitarian Day, which falls on August 19 of each year. The UN organization added in a statement that "207 UNRWA workers have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the war, some of them while performing their duties." He explained that "the UNRWA dead in Gaza were doctors, engineers, teachers and others from various specialties."
