UNRWA Warns Humanitarian Aid at Risk of Spoilage Due to Gaza Crossing Closures

Gaza: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Thursday that vital humanitarian aid remains stranded in warehouses outside the Gaza Strip and is now at risk of spoilage due to Israel's continued closure of border crossings since March.

According to Jordan News Agency, the aid comprising food, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and shelter materials has been blocked from entering Gaza amid the ongoing blockade.

UNRWA emphasized that the aid is urgently needed and classified as "life-saving," and warned that prolonged delays threaten its viability. The agency stressed that its staff and delivery trucks are fully prepared to distribute the supplies to the most vulnerable populations in Gaza once access is granted.
