Weather conditions on Tuesday are forecast to be pleasant at day time, with clouds at medium and high altitudes and southeasterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
As we head into night hours, a slight drop in mercury levels is expected with unstable weather conditions affecting the Kingdom and causing rainfall in the northern regions. The rain will extend later to cover the central and southwestern parts, accompanied by thunder and westerly moderate to brisk winds.
The weather department warned of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, low-visibility during rainfall due to dust formation in badia areas and fog formation in mountainous areas.
On Wednesday, temperatures will significantly drop bringing cold and partly cloudy weather conditions, with scattered showers in most parts of the country, the JMD added.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Thursday and Friday, with southwesterly moderate winds, picking up at times.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across Jordan today will range between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 7C or even 6C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be warmer with mercury reaching a high of 26C and a low of 15C.
