Amman: A Universal Postal Union (UPU) expert has conducted an assessment visit to the International Academy for E-Commerce and Logistics, the training arm of Jordan Post, as part of the accreditation process to designate the academy as a regional and international training center.
According to Jordan News Agency, UPU expert Pooran Parambath reviewed the academy's training infrastructure, including its facilities, classrooms, equipment, and training resources, as well as its local accreditation credentials and the qualifications of its certified trainers.
The visit was attended by Chairman of the Academy's Board of Trustees Sami Al-Dawood, Chief Executive Officer Hanadi Al-Tayeb, Academy President Rabie Dababneh, and Academy Advisor Ihab Abu Dieh.
The evaluation focused on the academy's training, administrative and technical capabilities as part of the UPU accreditation process. During the visit, Parambath also reviewed the academy's portfolio of training and professional qualification programmes, which covers e-commerce, logistics, postal services, delivery operations, professional development, digital skills, digital marketing, e-store management, data analytics, electronic payment systems, postal services, mail security, shipping and distribution, as well as diploma programmes in postal services and e-commerce.
The academy focuses on capacity building, developing training partnerships, supporting digital and professional transformation, and equipping young people with the skills required to establish sustainable digital businesses. It also seeks to prepare a new generation of specialists in e-commerce and digital marketing, support Jordan's transition to a digital economy, strengthen the Kingdom's position as a regional e-commerce hub, and promote job creation through entrepreneurship.
The International Academy for E-Commerce and Logistics offers a Technical Diploma in Postal Services and E-Commerce accredited by Jordan's Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions.
