US Ambassador Discusses Election of Speaker of Parliament with MP Shaalan Al-Karim

US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, received MP Shaalan Al-Karim, at the Embassy building. The Ambassador stated in a post on the /X/ website that: 'The prospects for electing the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, who represents the interests of all Iraqis, including Sunnis, were discussed, as well as how to enhance the comprehensive US- Iraqi partnership and work with the Sunni component to achieve regional stability, security and economic development.'
