Amman: Wall Street indexes broadly declined on Tuesday, led by a sharp sell-off in technology shares on the Nasdaq, while US benchmark crude oil prices held steady above $85 per barrel. By the close of trading, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite dropped 366 points, or 1.33 percent, to settle at 26,289 points.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 116 points, or 0.22 percent, to finish at 53,348 points, while the broad-based S and P 500 lost 53 points, or 0.69 percent, closing at 7,692 points. In energy markets, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude settled flat at $85.02 per barrel.
