Abu Dhabi: A UAE-US business dialogue was launched Friday in Abu Dhabi with the participation of US President Donald Trump as part of the last stop on his Gulf tour, according to livestreaming of the event.
According to Anadolu Agency, the opening ceremony featured presentations of companies specializing in artificial intelligence, aviation, health care, sports, and industry by US and Emirati businesspeople showcasing flagship projects and investment opportunities. President Trump expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "That's amazing. These are all American companies. They're doing very well here. We work together. It's an incredible thing."
On the Emirati side, the dialogue was chaired by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed. As of 0930GMT, the Emirates News Agency had not provided details on the outcomes of the meeting. Following the business dialogue, Trump visited the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi, where he admired the effort, describing it as a "beautiful job."
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE president, announced plans for the country to invest $1.4 trillion in the US over the next decade. On Thursday, a new 5GW UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi was unveiled at Qasr Al Watan, attended by Trump and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This campus, the largest outside the US, will host US hyperscalers and large enterprises, providing regional compute resources to serve the Global South.
The Emirates News Agency WAM reported that the UAE-US AI campus will include 5GW of capacity for AI data centers in Abu Dhabi, offering latency-friendly services to nearly half of the global population. Once completed, the facility will minimize carbon emissions by leveraging nuclear, solar, and gas power, and will include a science park to drive advancements in AI innovation. The campus will be constructed by G42 and operated in partnership with several US companies.
The UAE is the third and final stop on Trump's Gulf tour, following visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
