Siena:Balqa The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) has announced that it detected 11 instances of water theft during a campaign in the Southern Shuna areas of the Balqa governorate.
According to Jordan News Agency, the operation was a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Interior, the West Balqa Police Directorate, and Miyahuna/Balqa Water Company. The violations involved unauthorized water supplies to farms, large collection tanks, and chalets.
The ministry reported that illegal water connections were disconnected, and the situation was rectified. Official violation reports were also filed. The ministry emphasized its dedication to protecting citizens' water rights under the law.
The ministry expressed appreciation for the cooperation of citizens and acknowledged the support of the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate, and the Judicial Council in the campaign to safeguard water resources.
