The illicit setups diverted water to supply farms, homes, and private tankers for unauthorized sales. Inspection teams disconnected the illegal hookups, sealed the wells, and filed official reports to pursue legal action.

According to Jordan News Agency, in Irbid, crews intercepted an illegal rig actively drilling a well, seizing the equipment and backfilling the hole. In Aqaba, teams removed illegal taps on main pipelines supplying a factory and a chalet.

The campaign also extended to Madaba, where teams dismantled nine illegal connections to main lines that were supplying homes, farms, and illegal water tankers. Meanwhile, in the Maghtas area of South Shuna, authorities backfilled seven illegal wells used to irrigate farms and fill unauthorized tankers.

The ministry vowed to maintain its nationwide campaign against water theft, urging the public to report any illegal activity to help safeguard water supplies.
