Amman: U.S. President Donald Trump's "top priority" is to end the war in Gaza and secure the release of hostages, the White House announced on Monday. Trump plans to discuss a proposed ceasefire with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to Jordan News Agency, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt informed reporters that President Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is scheduled to travel to Qatar later this week. Qatar is currently facilitating indirect talks between Israel and Hamas.
