Amman: Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport, Fares Abu Dayyeh, met with representatives from Jordan's industrial estates and the Amman Chamber of Industry to discuss the expansion and enhancement of public transport services to the country's industrial zones, particularly focusing on Al-Qastal Industrial Estate.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting included experts from the Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Regulatory Commission who assessed the current state of worker transport services in industrial estates. They examined the actual needs in terms of bus route numbers and frequencies to improve the situation.
The discussions aimed to make worker access to the transport network more efficient, thereby reducing travel costs and time, and ensuring the continuity of industrial activities. The participants reached a consensus to prepare a study that would explore various alternatives and assess the feasibility of implementing the most suitable options in the near future, as stated by a ministry statement.
