World Bank Approves $700 Million Financing for Pakistan’s Economic Stability and Service Delivery

Islamabad: The World Bank has approved $700 million in financing for Pakistan's macroeconomic stability and service delivery. This funding is aimed at supporting the Public Resources for Inclusive Development-Multiphase Programmatic Approach (PRID-MPA), a national initiative focused on promoting federal and provincial reforms to boost domestic revenue mobilization.

According to Anadolu Agency, the World Bank's statement on Friday outlined that the total financing for the PRID-MPA program could reach up to $1.35 billion. This initiative allocates $600 million for federal programs and reserves $100 million specifically for the Sindh provincial program.

World Bank Country Director for Pakistan, Bolormaa Amgaabazar, emphasized the necessity of mobilizing domestic resources efficiently and transparently to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth, which is crucial for delivering results for the people of Pakistan.
