World Meteorological Organization lauds Saudi Meteorology’s contribution to Hajj season’s success

Makkah, July 2 (BNA) : The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia chaired the ninth meeting of the Arab Committee for Meteorological Awareness and Information, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo. Several topics related to meteorological awareness work were discussed, including creating the website for the Permanent Arab Meteorological Committee. The committee expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia and the Saudi National Center for Meteorology for their efforts during this year's Hajj season and for utilizing great capabilities in this regard, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Dr. Hisham Abdul Ghani, Representative and Director of the regional office of the World Meteorological Organization, praised the centre's outstanding work, which significantly contributed to the success of the Hajj season's plans.
