Yarmouk University and University of Waterloo Explore Academic Collaboration

Irbid: Yarmouk University (YU) President Dr. Islam Massad met with Dr. Bessma Momani, Associate Vice-President of the University of Waterloo (UW), to discuss potential avenues for academic collaboration between the two institutions.

According to Jordan News Agency, Massad emphasized Yarmouk University's commitment to achieving academic and technical advancements. He highlighted the university's intent to incorporate modern technology into its educational programs to align with global trends and to improve the competitiveness of its graduates in the job market.

Massad also discussed the prospect of sending YU students to the University of Waterloo for postgraduate studies in fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, and computer engineering. He noted that this future collaboration is part of an ongoing joint effort with the Jordanian Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aimed at fostering innovation and enhancing higher education.

Dr. Bessma Momani expressed UW's interest in strengthening international partnerships, sharing academic and professional expertise, and applying successful educational models within Jordanian universities.
