Yarmouk University Secures Patent for Innovative Cancer Treatment Formulations.

Irbid: A research team from Yarmouk University's Faculty of Science filed a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for promising pharmaceutical formulations to treat cancer. The team was led by Dr. Shahada Mazyed and included Dr. Khaled Abu Khadra, researcher Huda Al-Saadi, Dr. Firas Al-Awadi, and Dr. Areej Assaf from the University of Jordan. According to Jordan News Agency, the patent is registered under the title: Pharmaceutical formulations from Benzoxazepine derivatives for the treatment of cancer. The patent encompasses heterogeneous cyclic compounds that have shown effectiveness in combating certain cancerous tumors, along with details on the preparation of these formulations and the method of cancer treatment through administering an effective dosage of medication. Dr. Mazyed emphasized that the researchers are continuing to develop these compositions to ensure precise and effective outcomes.
