Amman: The Youth Integrity Forum 2025, organized by Rasheed Transparency International Jordan and sponsored by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (RIAC), commenced on Thursday, highlighting the role of youth in fostering integrity and combating corruption.
According to Jordan News Agency, RIAC Board Member Hazem Majali, speaking on behalf of the RIAC Board Chairman, emphasized the Commission's view of youth as vital agents for change and a corruption-free future. He noted that youth play a crucial role not only as the foundation for tomorrow but also as active reformers in the present.
The forum gathered representatives from government institutions, civil society organizations, governance and anti-corruption experts, as well as young participants from across the Kingdom, including graduates of Rasheed's Integrity Schools and Academy programs. Majali reiterated the Commission's dedication to involving youth in meaningful ways in planning, implementation, and follow-up, and in supporting youth-led initiatives at universities and within civil society.
He highlighted the forum's objective of providing youth with a platform to express their ideas, take initiative, and contribute to concrete change, emphasizing that "real change begins with and through them."
Rasheed Executive Director, Abeer Madanat, pointed out the organization's continuous efforts to empower youth, stating that the forum signifies Rasheed's commitment since the launch of the Integrity Schools project. She described the event as a safe and innovative space where youth can actively participate and share their vision for a unified Jordan grounded in national integrity.
The forum serves as a platform for dialogue between youth, government bodies, civil society, and experts to foster a culture of integrity and accountability. It includes three thematic sessions: one addressing Sustainable Development Goals related to peace, justice, and strong institutions; another on media technology governance for responsible media practices in managing conflict and corruption; and a third addressing party governance and the challenges and opportunities for development.
The event is part of the "Youth Integrity 2024-2025" project, executed by Rasheed with support from the German Foreign Ministry and funding from the IFA Institute for International Relations' ZIVIK program, in cooperation with the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission. The forum represents a significant step in empowering Jordanian youth to tackle modern challenges in integrity and anti-corruption.
