Amman: Minister of Youth Raed Adwan and Lina Kurd, Director-General of the Run Jordan organization, engaged in discussions on Sunday to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation in sports activities and events. Both parties emphasized the significance of bolstering partnerships in organizing marathons and other sporting events, with a focus on promoting a running culture among youth center members and supporting the participation of youth volunteers in marathons organized by Run Jordan.
According to Jordan News Agency, Adwan reiterated the ministry's dedication to broadening sports participation throughout the society, particularly among the youth. He highlighted the positive effects sports have on physical and mental health, as well as their role in nurturing values such as belonging, perseverance, and teamwork.
Kurd, on her part, expressed the organization's intent to expand youth involvement in both national and international sports events. She underscored the importance of projecting a positive image of Jordanian youth in sports forums globally.
The discussions concluded with an agreement between the two parties to continue coordinating efforts to implement awareness-raising sports programs in youth centers. These initiatives aim to promote sports as a lifestyle, fostering a healthy, conscious, and active young generation actively participating in national activities.
