Zarqa’s Re-Exports Reach Nearly JD 58 Million in September

Zarqa:Re-exports from Zarqa reached nearly JD 58 million last September, with the automotive sector leading the surge, based on official trade data.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce and its free zone branch reported the issuance of 568 certificates of origin during the month. This activity boosted the total export value to JD 57,994,297, marking a substantial increase from approximately JD 38 million in September of the previous year.

Chamber Chairman Hussein Shreim highlighted that vehicles and automotive accessories were the primary contributors to the export volume. Other significant export categories included building materials, sanitary ware, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, foodstuffs, apparel, jewelry, electronics, furniture, and stationery.
