Amman: In overnight raids, Israeli occupation forces arrested 16 Palestinians as a military campaign in the cities of Jenin and Tlkarem and refugee camps in the northern West Bank continued for the third month in a row.
According to Jordan News Agency, the occupation army staged search-and-arrest raids in a number of West Bank towns and villages and forced families in Balata refugee camp, near Nablus, to vacate homes at gunpoint, according to local Palestinians.
During a raid of the village of Deir Bzei', near Ramallah, troops blew up the two-story family home of Mujahid Mansour after ordering families in the neighborhood to quit their homes. Mujahid was killed by soldiers on March 22, 2024.
In the village of Beit Safaf, southeast of Jerusalem, this morning, the Israeli municipality forced Alaa Alayan to self-demolish his own home, claiming it was built without a permit, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center reported.
Under the occupation authority's regulations, Palestinians in East Jerusalem are ordered to self-demolish "illegally" constructed homes, and those who refuse the order need to destroy their own homes or pay for Israeli bulldozers for the demolition.
