16,736 Students Benefit from Scholarships and Loans at Al-Balqa Applied University

Amman: Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) has achieved a significant milestone, with 16,736 students benefiting from scholarships and loans, marking one of the highest rates among Jordanian universities, particularly in associate degree programs. This accomplishment underscores BAU's leadership in applied and technical education.

According to Jordan News Agency, BAU President Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Ajlouni announced that these scholarships and loans were provided by the Student Support Fund. He highlighted that BAU's associate degree programs have achieved a benefit rate exceeding 99%, one of the highest compared to other universities.

Dr. Ajlouni attributed this success to the strategic alignment of BAU's undergraduate and associate degree programs with the requirements of the local and regional labor market. These programs focus on technical and applied specializations with high employment opportunities, positively impacting students' chances of receiving financial support.

Further, BAU has extended invitations to Tawjihi alumni of the winter session 2026 to enroll in its associate degree programs across the university's colleges nationwide. These programs emphasize the availability of substantial financial support and quality education.

The scholarships from the Student Support Fund cover the fees for 45 credit hours, approximately two-thirds of the curriculum for associate degree programs. This financial aid aims to alleviate students' financial burdens and enhance their chances of enrolling in modern technical fields that meet job market needs, ultimately increasing their employment prospects post-graduation.
