Amman: 17 faculty members from Al-Balqa' Applied University (BAU) have been recognized among the top 2% of the world's most influential and highly cited researchers. This milestone is based on the updated citation index database prepared by Stanford University, in collaboration with the international publishing house Elsevier for the year 2025.
According to Jordan News Agency, the BAU list features distinguished researchers such as Drs. Omar Abu Arqoub, Zaid Odeibat, Malik Breik, Jaafar Zoubi, Zakaria Qudah, Ahmad Ajou, Omar Zoubi, Moataz Azab, Hisham Shehadeh, Al-Baraa Awajan, Omar Othman Badran, Muhammad Samadi, Abdul Aziz Hamouri, Ammar Momani, Khalil Assaf, Mazen Abu Khader, and Sharida Khalaf Omari.
In press remarks, BAU President Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Ajlouni congratulated the researchers on this global achievement, highlighting the excellence of the university's faculty members and their strong commitment to scientific research. He emphasized that scientific research is a key strategic goal for the university, contributing significantly to sustainable development and enhancing BAU's position both locally and globally.
Dr. Ajlouni further encouraged all researchers to continue their efforts to elevate BAU's standing on regional and global stages. He mentioned the university's ongoing plans to support researchers by providing financial and moral support, and expanding cooperation programs with international universities and research centers. This initiative aims to boost qualitative scientific production and enhance BAU's global ranking and academic reputation.
