1st Gulf-Jordanian Investment Conference Set to Enhance Strategic Sector Cooperation.

Amman: The first Gulf-Jordanian Investment Conference, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) and the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (FGCCC), is set to launch next Wednesday in Amman, focusing on cooperation and investment opportunities in several strategic sectors within the Kingdom. According to Jordan News Agency, the event, held under Royal patronage, serves as a vital platform for discussing ways to enhance joint investment and trade relations. It aims to build on past successes of Arab Gulf investments in Jordan, particularly in sectors that add value to the national economy. JCC Chairman Khalil Haj Tawfiq emphasized that the one-day event aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision, highlighting Jordan as a "stable, secure and investment-attracting" destination despite regional challenges. The conference will take place at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center in the Dead Sea area, featuring sessions that spotlight Jordan's robust sectors, including tourism , information technology, mining, creative industries, and energy. Haj Tawfiq noted the significance of the attendance of GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Badawi and the convening of the FGCCC Board of Directors in Jordan, underscoring the Kingdom's respect and appreciation at the pan-Arab level. He added that the conference, themed "Partnerships ... Investment ... Economic Integration," marks a new phase of Jordan-GCC cooperation aimed at attracting new investments and expanding existing ones. Through this conference, the goal is to build an integrated economic unity between Jordan and the Arab Gulf countries, enhancing trade and investment cooperation. Haj Tawfiq highlighted Jordan's investment potential and opportunities, stating that the Kingdom could benefit from the GCC's resources, thus fostering promising investment partnerships across various economic fields.
