According to a statement issued by the GAM Tuesday, the teams inspected 708 facilities yesterday, unveiling a number of health and professional violations.

Around 29,000 people in Aqaba have received the COVID-19 vaccine since the start of the local immunization campaign last month, according to Saeb Hiyasat, Director of Health Affairs in the city.
In a press statement on Tuesday, Hiyasat said that Aqaba yesterday recorded the lowest positivity rate, compared to other governorates with only 25 positive tests out of 1,569.

The total number of global COVID-19 cases surged to 163,368,005 on Tuesday, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
The Bloomberg news agency said that the University, in its latest update, revealed that the current global death toll stands at around 3,391,530.
It said more than 280 million doses of the various COVID-19 vaccines were administered around the world.

The Indian Ministry of Health said on Tuesday it registered a record number of 260,000 cases of the COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The Indian Press Agency (New Delhi) quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that the virus caseload reached 25.23 million.
Around 4,329 new deaths were recorded today, bringing the death toll since the start of the pandemic to 278,719, it added.
